This is a strenuous and challenging trek. We walk through forests of pine and rhododendron, along rivers, through Sherpa villages and visit monasteries. It may be necessary to use crampons, ice axe and rope, should the conditions dictate. In severe conditions, we may not be able to cross these passes. This challenging trek is rewarded with spectacular views and the opportunity to enjoy Sherpa culture.

Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu Airport, transfer to hotel.
Day 02: Morning flight to Lukla (2840m), then trek to Phakding (2610m). ( 3hours)
Day 03: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m). (5-6hours)
Day 04: Namche acclimatisation. Today is generally a rest day to explore Namche. A visit to the Sherpa museum is a must.
Day 05 An acclimatisation walk is vitally important to help to avoid problems with high altitude. We walk to Syangboche and back, rest of your day is free to explore Namche.
Day 06: Namche Bazaar to Thame. (4-hours). This is the birth place of Tenzing Norgay, who ummited Everest with Edmond Hillary in 1953.
Day 07: Thame to Lungdhen (4380m). (6-7hours)
Day 08: Lungdhen to Gokyo (4790m) (6-hours) via the Renjo La Pass (5360m). We get beautiful mountain views from the pass.
Day 09: An acclimatisation day in Gokyo can be used to enjoy this beautiful valley. A visit to 5th Lake is beautiful.
Day 10: Gokyo to Dragnag(4650m) (2hours). Early morning rise to climb Gokyo Ri (5357m). This affords beautiful views of Cho Oyu and Everest (8848m). After breakfast we head to Dragnag.
Day 11: Dragnag to Jongla (4830m) (6-hours) via the Cho La Pass (5368m)
Day 12: Jongla to Lobuche (4910m). (3-4hours)
Day 13: Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5140m) (3hours). After lunch visit Everest Base Camp (5364m).
Day 14: Gorak Shep to Pheriche (4246m). (6-7hours). Early morning rise to climb Kala Patthar (5550m). We will get spectacular views of Everest, Khumbu Ice fall and much more.
Day 15: Pheriche to Tengboche (3860m) (5-6 hours)
Day 16: Tengboche to Namche Bazaar (3440m). (4-5hours)
Day 17: Namche Bazaar to Lukla (7-8hours)
Day 18: Flight back to Kathmandu.
Day 19. International flight home.

  1. Hotel accommodation in Kathmandu on a bed and breakfast basis.
  2. Three meals a day (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) with hot beverage and snacks whilst on trek.

  4. Sagarmatha National Park permit, Climbing permits.
  5. Domestic airfare (Kathmandu – Lukla – Kathmandu).
  6. Domestic airport tax.
  7. An experienced English speaking climbing guide, or where possible language of your choice trained and licenced by the Government of Nepal, Ministry of Tourism & Civil Aviation. Climbing guide equipment.

  9. Highly experienced well equipped trekking porter.

  11. Airport transfers.

The price does not cover the following services

  1. Meals in Kathmandu. Extra hotel nights.
  2. Expenses of a personal nature, internet access, charging batteries, showers etc.
  3. Bar and beverage bills.
  4. Your Travel Insurance, helicopter rescue and cover for any other adventurous activities that you may take part in.
  5. Rescue & Evacuation.

This is a very strenuous trek. You must have a good level of cardio vascular fitness.
We have 3 acclimatisation days.
